Yokohama Rubber’s BluEarth-GT AE51 tyres coming factory-equipped on Toyota’s new Camry
The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that it is supplying its BluEarth-GT AE51 tyres as original equipment (OE) to Toyota Motor Corporation for use on the automaker’s new hybrid sedan, the Camry, sales of which were launched gradually in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia. The OE tyre size is the 215/55R17 94V.
The “BluEarth-GT AE51” incorporates the basic design and materials technology used in Yokohama’s “environmentally, human, and socially friendly” BluEarth global tyre brand. The tyres’ superior driving, comfort and environmental performance makes them outstanding grand touring tyres. The tyres being supplied as OE for the new Camry were developed by utilising specialised tuning to combine fuel efficiency and wet performance while contributing to a quiet ride.
Yokohama Rubber is aggressively developing tyres employing its leading-edge BluEarth tyre technology, and many of these tyres are now coming factory-equipped on gasoline-powered vehicles, hybrid cars and EVs such as a wide variety of new car models, including the latest-model sedans, SUVs, sports cars, and compact cars.
