The Best Summer Tyres By The European Motoring Association

The Best Summer Tyre Choices For 2022

Not sure which is the best Summer Tyre for you in 2022? Don’t worry, the European Motoring Association ADAC, TCS and ÖAMTC have got you covered. They have not one but two comparative evaluations testing a wide variety of summer tyres from many brands. Check out the best summer tyre results below.

The European Motoring Association have analysed two different dimensions, the most popular small car size 185/65 R15 and the most popular mid-sized 215/60 R16. They then fitted them onto a VW Polo with 15-inch tyres and selected 16 brands/tyres to compete in the tests. The 16 summer tyres that were selected were pushed to their limits on both wet and dry road surfaces.

The tests were conducted to find out how the summer tyres performed on different road surfaces as well as the overall performance and safety of the tyre. In addition to this, they wanted to assess the comfort levels, environmental impact and any economy-related evaluations. The results are displayed below to help guide you on picking the most suitable summer tyre that provides a comfortable, reliable and safe driving experience this summer.
