The Continental SportContact 7 Takes First Place

Continental SportContact 7 Takes First Place in Tyre Reviews 2022 UUHP Tyre Tests

Want to know the performance levels on some of the ten most popular tyres? Well, the tyre comparison website Tyre Reviews have tested them on performance and ranked them from 1 to 10. All the tyres were individually tested and fitted on to a BMW-powered Toyota Supra in sizes 255/35 R19 for the front and 275/35 R19 for the rear. It’s no surprise that the brand-new Continental SportContact 7 came in first place and is at least 12 months newer than any of the other tyres getting tested. This tyre has set new standards for the UUHP segment.

The test concentrated on sporty, track based performance attributes, combining subjective and objective assessments and the lap times. They did a test where the car had two sets of budget tyres fitted, one on the front (Star Performer) and one on the rear (Goodride SA37). Although this seemed unfair at first, this is something that is commonly done in the UK market. The results shown a lack of synergy and grip due the mixture of tyre fitments, and it’s highly recommended to not have a combination of tyres on one vehicle, if possible.

So do you want to find out what tyres were tested and where they ranked?
