Asda Tyres Tyre Protection Asda Tyres provides top-quality tyres designed to perform at their best. However, tyres can sometimes fail to meet expectations, or accidents may occur that cause damage. That’s why we offer Tyre Protection – giving you peace of mind and a simple way to get back on the road quickly. 

For just £10.99 per tyre, Tyre Protection covers accidental damage. If your tyre needs replacing, we’ll offer up to 100% off the replacement cost, or if it can be repaired, we’ll also contribute towards the cost of the puncture repair. Please refer to our terms and conditions below for full details of the cover.

What Tyre Protection Covers

Accidental Damage:

If your tyre is accidentally damaged (e.g. by kerbing, potholes, or punctures caused by sharp objects) within 12 months of the fitting date, Asda Tyres will provide a replacement tyre or a discount on a new one, depending on the extent of the damage. If the tyre can be repaired, we’ll contribute towards the repair cost. You’ll need to provide an invoice for the repair, after which we will reimburse the cost up to £20.

Repair and Replacement Limits: Tyre Protection includes:

• Up to two (2) puncture repairs (with up to £20 contribution per repair).
• One (1) discounted tyre replacement per tyre covered during the 12-month period following the fitting date.

Eligibility and Purchase

• You must purchase Tyre Protection for all tyres in your order.
• The cost per tyre is shown below.
• Cover for accidental damage lasts 12 months from the date your tyre is fitted. 
• Tyre Protection is available for car, van, 4x4, and SUV tyres purchased from Asda Tyres. 
• Tyre Protection is not available for tyres purchased by mail order.
• Tyre Protection must be purchased for all tyres in your order and cannot be purchased without a tyre.
• If a tyre is replaced under Tyre Protection, the replacement tyre will not be covered by the existing protection, but you can purchase new Tyre Protection for the replacement tyre.
• Tyre Protection applies only to the original tyre purchased and cannot be transferred to a replacement.
• You must upload your DOT code information in the customer area of our website within 14 days of fitting to confirm your purchase. Failure to do so will render your purchase invalid.
• Failure to activate your policy will invalidate a refund request.

Cost

Tyre Protection costs £10.99 per tyre of the original sale value per tyre. You must purchase Tyre Protection for all tyres in your order. 

Credit / Discount Levels

In the event of a problem with your tyre, please contact our tyre protection team via email at [email protected]. Our team will guide you through the process and arrange for the tyre(s) to be assessed under the terms of the Tyre Protection product.

Things to Know Before You Contact Us 

• To qualify for the Tyre Protection product, any defective tyres must be made available for return to us. If a tyre cannot be inspected by us, your claim may be affected.
• Defective tyres subject to any claim must be retained and stored until a courier collection is organised.
• Refunds will be made using the same payment method as your original Tyre Protection purchase, unless agreed otherwise. No fees will be applied to the reimbursement.

Accidental Damage Credit / Discount Levels:

If your tyre is damaged due to accidental damage, the credit or discount you receive will depend on how much tread remains at the time of the issue. This will be assessed by an Asda Tyres expert.

Tyre Protection covers all tyres purchased in your original order for 12 months from the fitting date.

The level of credit or discount is based on tread depth, as shown in the table below.

Tyres with less than 1.6mm tread depth are below the legal limit and not eligible for a discount.

Tread Depth Discount

6mm+ A new tyre (same pattern and size*) will be provided free of charge.

5mm – 5.99mm A new tyre (same pattern and size*) will be provided with an 80% discount (based on the Asda Tyres price at the time of your original purchase).

3mm – 4.99mm A new tyre (same pattern and size*) will be provided with a 60% discount (based on the Asda Tyres price at the time of your original purchase).

1.6mm – 2.99mm A new tyre (same pattern and size*) will be provided with a 40% discount (based on the Asda Tyres price at the time of your original purchase). *If your current tyre pattern is unavailable or superseded, we will offer an equivalent or improved tyre pattern.

Puncture Repair

If you experience a puncture, Asda Tyres will contribute £20 towards the cost of the repair. To be eligible, you must provide a valid receipt or invoice, or photographic evidence of the damage if the repair has not yet been completed. Tyre Protection covers two (2) repairs (two separate £20 compensations) within 12 months from the date of fitting. If a tyre cannot be repaired, a replacement will be offered on a like-for-like basis, according to the tread depth table above.

Tyre Protection Exclusions

Tyre Protection does not cover:

• Purchases not through Asda Tyres:  The purchase of the new tyre(s) must be placed through Asda tyres for the discount/credit to be apply.
• Damage during fitting or removal: If a tyre is damaged during fitting or removal by an Asda Tyres fitter as part of our fully fitted service, this will be handled directly by our support team at [email protected].
• Failure to follow maintenance requirements, including:
  • Maintaining correct tyre pressure.
  • Adhering to the vehicle manufacturer’s load and towing limits.
  • Addressing balancing or wheel alignment issues.
• Incompatible tyres: Damage caused by using tyres unsuitable for your vehicle.
• Vehicle defects: Damage resulting from mechanical faults.
• Snow chains or inflation devices: Damage from misuse of such equipment.
• Track or competition use: Damage caused by racing or track days.
• Malicious damage: Damage caused by vandalism or intentional harm.
• Natural events: Damage caused by fire, floods, or storms.
• Commercial use: Vehicles used for taxi, cab, or courier services are excluded.

Important Notes

This protection does not affect your legal rights, including your right to cancel Tyre Protection within 14 days of purchase. You may be entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement for faulty goods under UK law.

To cancel, please email [email protected]. We will confirm receipt of your request promptly.

To meet the cancellation deadline, you must send your request before the 14-day period ends. If you cancel within 14 days, we will refund your payment within 14 days of receiving your cancellation form. Refunds will be processed using the same payment method unless agreed otherwise. No additional fees will apply.

If you have requested Tyre Protection services during the cancellation period and then choose to cancel, you will be required to pay for any services already provided.

Tyre Protection includes: 

• Up to two puncture repairs (£20 contribution per repair).
• Discounted tyre replacement for tyres purchased through Asda Tyres within 12 months of fitting.

Manufacturing Defects

Please note that Tyre Protection is in addition to the standard manufacturer’s warranty process.

Manufacturing Faults:

If your tyre develops a fault due to a manufacturing defect or materials issue, Asda Tyres will offer either a replacement tyre or a discount on a new one, depending on remaining tread depth. We’ll also cover the fitting cost of the new tyre.
