205/40 R17 Tyres

205/40 R17 tyres are a low-profile option commonly fitted to sporty hatchbacks and compact performance vehicles such as the Audi A2 and Mercedes A Class. The width (205mm), aspect ratio (40%), and 17-inch rim diameter combine to deliver sharp handling, a firm grip on the road, and excellent steering precision – ideal for drivers who enjoy a more responsive ride.

At Asda Tyres, we stock a wide range of 205/40 R17 tyres from trusted brands including Continental, Hankook, and Kormoran. Whether you're after a premium performance tyre, a mid-range all-rounder, or a reliable budget option, we have choices to suit every need and price point.

Most tyres in this size are summer variants, designed to maintain stability and wet grip in warmer conditions. We also offer a selection of all-season and winter options for year-round confidence.

This size is available in a number of EV- and hybrid-compatible models, including the Michelin CrossClimate 2 – known for its strong wet braking, balanced handling, and long-lasting performance.
